Hand in hand with my love of books, comes a passion for writing.  I’ll lend my pen to almost anything, but I spend most of my time crafting children’s and YA fiction.  I’m a long-time member of the Society of Children’s Book Writers and Illustrators where I’ve recently volunteered as the Writers’ Retreat Coordinator (see my post about the 2018 retreat here). I also have membership of the Society of Authors as an emerging writer.

My urban fantasy YA novel Breakwater received an honorary mention in the 2012 Undiscovered Voices competition, and I have recently graduated from the Golden Egg Academy after being mentored by Imogen Cooper while writing my low fantasy children’s novel, Lostwell, which is now on submission.

I’m currently working on the first draft of a middle-grade fantasy adventure which I aim to submit in 2018.
